Wondering IF

I started to use soup.io.
I like it.
Its easy.
Its straight forward.
Its cool.
Its geeky.
I wonder/think that I will redirect this blog infinitely** to the sirra.soup.io site.

** When I got the time to do that

Pictures from Loisium/Photosessions online

I have added three new albums:
1. Spring (Nature, Flower) based motives. Have a look.

2. February in the Viennese woods (Wiener Wald). The trees and plants have a cool winter atmosphere with their bare branches. Pictures.

3. My weekend trip to the biggest wine producing region in Austria, Langenlois. Wine + SPA Hotel Loisium and the Loisium Winecellar have both a cool and modern architecture. It impressed me a lot with their exclusivity. Shots from the Hotel, the winecellar and the surroundings.

Added Calender Plugin

As you can see on the sidebar (on the right side), I have added the Calender plugin. The days with blog entries will be linked.

Added new plugin

Spamm comments are really annoying. That is why I added a new plugin to the blog today - The SpamGuardian.

What is Spammguardian?
- It is a text based CAPTCHA alternative that adds a prompt to the comment form. With the prompt the visitor has to answer an easy question to prove that he/she is human.

I hope with this plugin the number of spamm comments will drop again.

Hmpf - Spammers

Today i got my first spamm visits on my blog. Several comments has been added with ads for sex and pr0n pages. I HATE IT!!
Anyway, the IP got banned and comments deleted.

Lei vs. Spamm - 4:0

cheers !

P.S. now it is 8:0. I guess, I have to disable the comment editing function for guests. So only members can write comments. Well we will see.

Googlebot goes amok !!

After the blog relaunch, i decided to add my site to the Google's index. A few days later, the googlebot started to crawl my site, almost several times every hour.

In the between, i have installed awstats - a apache log analyzer, to get a better overview about the transfer volumes and visit volumes. And what did i see there?
Googlebot has generated 1300 hits and used a bandwidth of 386.71 MBs (from 24.mai until now)

Just for a comparision with other search robots (also from 24.mai until now):
* Yahoo Slurp: 30 hits, used a bandwidth of 259.86 KB
* Technoratibot 12 hits, used a bandwidth of 239.71 KB
* BlogPulse intelliseek.com: 10 hits, used a bandwidth of 92.20 KB
* Sphere Scout: 5 hits, used a bandwidth of 92.01 KB
* Yahoo Feed Seeker: 2 hits, used a bandwidth of 22.84 KB

Here you can see, that Googlebot is making the most traffic. So i am quite astonished ...

Comment handling revised

I just revised the comment handling on the main page. Since the skin has a really annoying comment handling.

If there is no comment, the comment symbol plus link will be shown, but if there is already one, the link will disappear to nirvana (yesss, /dev/nulled). So now, i dismissed the comment macro and added the link and the number of comments manually.

I hope people wont complain again about "the difficult add comment handling".

Hurray and goodnight!

Gallery received a new look

Today, i reviewed the Gallery2 source code and adapted the themes template files.

Now the gallery and the blog have atleast the same font format, font color for header, body and links. Another problem i have noticed: The gallery did not offer any possibilities to return to the blog site, so i added a few links. So this problem is solved too.
